Why Luke's Force Projection Killed Him | Star Wars Explained

Report from the Holocron of Xela. Description: Why did Luke Skywalker’s Force projection result in his death? Why was using the Force in that way so dangerous? Force projection, also known as doppleganger or similfuturus, first appeared in Star Wars Legends, and was expanded upon by Force users called the Fallanassi. They were known for first achieving Force projection, which required the user to pour their life essence into the Cosmic Force. Which is the aspect of the Force which makes Force *ghosts* possible. In a sense, creating a Force projection was very *similar* to the way a Jedi who had become one with the Force would be able to create a physical manifestation of their consciousness.
