How Many Jedi Died at the Battle of Geonosis - Star Wars Explained Fast | Star Wars Explained

Report from the Holocron of Xela. Description: Just how deadly was the Battle of Geonosis for the Jedi Order? The new book Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade gets into some specifics. Some *slight* spoilers for the novel are ahead, but nothing connected to the plot. Just some nerdy statistics! Star Wars reference books have established that two hundred twelve Jedi made up the strike team that traveled to Geonosis to save Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padme. Adding Kenobi, Skywalker, and Yoda to the group brings the total up to two hundred fifteen. In Rise of the Red Blade, we see that there were even more Jedi outside of the strike team, and Mace Windu notes that only twenty nine Jedi survived the battle, meaning at *least* one hundred eighty six perished. But the book goes on to mention that over *two hundred* Jedi had died, many of them holding the rank of Master. At *best* that’s a death rate of nearly eighty seven percent in only the first battle of the Clone Wars. #starwars #jedi #shorts Subscribe for more Star Wars videos every day!
