Why Star Wars Planets Have One Climate - Star Wars Explained #Shorts | Star Wars Explained
Report from the Holocron of Xela. Description: Do you know why so many planets in Star Wars are just deserts or just jungle or just snow? It’s because of the budgetary and technical constraints of moviemaking in the 70s and 80s. The reason Tatooine is just a desert is because George Lucas wanted geography that felt real but also unique and alien enough. Shooting in a desert was an inexpensive choice for a film with a small budget. According to Lucas in his audio commentary for A New Hope, he knew he wouldn’t be able to create truly unique and alien environments until technology caught up with his imagination. #starwars #tatooine #shorts --- Subscribe for more Star Wars videos every day! --- Support the channel: https://www.patreon.com/starwarsexplain Second channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5KUexDNjIDcGPz4nAY9mBw Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@starwarsexplain Alex on Twitch: https://twitch.tv/alexdamonlive Mollie on Twitch: http://twitch.tv/molliedamon Instagram: http://instagram.com/starwarsexplained Twitter: https://twitter.com/StarWarsExplain Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/starwarsexplained Discord: https://discord.gg/ZPwEnDT Star Wars Tees: http://shrsl.com/?~9i83 Mailing Address Star Wars Explained 1227 Rockbridge Rd SW Ste 208 PMB 264 Stone Mountain, GA 30087
