Consular-class Cruiser Star Wars Ship Lore in Under a Minute | Star Wars Explained

Report from the Holocron of Xela. Description: Consular-class cruisers, more commonly known as Republic cruisers, were first seen in The Phantom Menace. Here’s everything you need to know about them in under a minute. They were 115 meters in length, only about seven percent the size of an Imperial star destroyer. As diplomatic ships they were unarmed. The red coloring was due to a longstanding tradition in the galaxy using red as the color of diplomatic relations, as well as a sign of its affiliation with Coruscant. Beneath the cockpit was a salon pod that could be swapped out depending on the physiology of any diplomat that was planned to come aboard the ship. It could also double as an escape pod in the case of emergencies. #starwars Subscribe for more Star Wars videos every day!
