Report from the Holocron of Xela. Description: What was the Base Delta Zero protocol in Star Wars? It was just mentioned in the second episode of season three of The Bad Batch as a type of orbital bombardment. It first appeared in the Star Wars Legends book The Hutt Gambit back in 1997. But it was a specifically extreme form of orbital bombardment that was meant to completely destroy the surface of a planet. Since it would appear that the Empire’s experimental biological weapon, slither vines, had literally grown out of control, they decided to abandon their lab and attempt to destroy their creation. But not even a base delta zero could stop their rapid spread. #starwars #thebadbatch
