Report from the Holocron of Xela. Description: How did the wampa hang Luke upside down? I don’t know why I get this question so often, but I do. I’m positive this is one of those pulpy Star Wars things you’re not really supposed to think about. Luke hanging upside down puts him in extra peril and gives him a chance to show off his new telekinesis skills. But it is funny to imagine the wampa just waiting and holding Luke up to the ceiling by his legs, waiting for him to freeze. I imagine the creature had to slobber all over Luke’s boots, and then stick him up there. In Hoth’s temperatures, it probably didn’t take long at all. Also, wampas are semi-sentient, so it’s not unreasonable that they would have figured out how to keep their meat trapped and fresh, as if it were hanging up in a meat locker. #starwars
