Mapuzo Star Wars Planet Lore in Under a Minute | Star Wars Explained
Report from the Holocron of Xela. Description: Did you know Mapuzo, the planet where Obi-Wan takes young Princess Leia after fleeing Daiyu, was first created for Star Wars Legends in 1995? A roleplaying game supplement book called Alliance Intelligence Reports established its location in the Mid Rim. The Empire occupied the planet so they could strip mine it for vintrium, a highly flammable substance. It was also described as a type two planet, which generally meant it was advised for most species to wear a breathing mask, although that didn’t mean the atmosphere was unbreathable. Planets like Mustafar and Sullust were also considered to be type two. #starwars
