Who was the Bounty Hunter on Ord Mantell that Scared Han Solo? | Star Wars Explained
Report from the Holocron of Xela. Description: Who was the bounty hunter on Ord Mantell that made Han Solo want to leave the Rebellion? We actually haven’t seen the full version of that story in canon. But in 1981, a comic appropriately titled The Bounty Hunter of Ord Mantell told the Legends tale of Skorr. Sometime after the events of A New Hope, he was able to kidnap Luke and Leia, hoping to lure Han into a trap so he could collect on Jabba’s bounty. Of course the plan failed, the Rebels escaped, and Skorr was arrested by the Empire and sent to the spice mines of Kessel. He escaped months later, and attempted to capture or kill Solo on Ord Mantell a second time. They struggled over Han’s blaster, which went off and killed Skorr. That comic isn’t strictly canon, *but* a character resembling Skorr appeared in two episodes of Forces of Destiny that took place on Ord Mantell, and The Empire Strikes Back From a Certain Point of View mentioned the character in the story The Whills Strike Back. #starwars
