What is a Gundark in Star Wars? | Star Wars Explained
Report from the Holocron of Xela. Description: Han Solo tells Luke he looks strong enough to pull the ears off a gundark after recovering from the wampa attack. So what is a gundark? They were large, ferocious creatures from the planet Vanqor. They had four arms, massive claws, and a mouth full of sharp teeth. They were formidable opponents, so telling someone they were strong enough to pull the prominent ears off of one would be an impressive feat. They first appeared in The Clone Wars episode Dooku Captured, where they were seen to be trouble even for Obi-Wan and Anakin. R2-D2, however, handled them fairly well in the episode R2 Come Home. #starwars
